Because of the routine exposure that obstetric personnel has to potentially infected blood or fluid contact during the delivery process, a team of Medical doctors and marketing specialists created Umbilicup I and II to significantly reduce any potential needle-stick injuries during the birthing process.

Jerome M. Eder, M.D., FACOG, is a board certified Obstetrican,/Gynecologist practicing in Southern California. As a lecturer, teacher, and Assistant Clinical Professor at one of the nation's leading medical schools; Doctor Eder in addition maintains a large private practice, Major interests include research and development of medical and surgical
devices. Academic pursuits involve viral sexually transmitted diseases. Doctor Eder serves as the Los Angeles Medical Advisor for a national organization dedicated to research and education concerning genital herpes and human papillomavirus infections. He has been published in multiple professional and non-medical periodicals and journals and has appeared in various public media productions as well as writing a monthly column concerning Genital Herpes infections.

Michael D. Grossman, M.D., President (59), Board Certified Anethesiologist in private practice since 1970. Involved in development, manufacturing, distribution of unique medical products to enhance medical personnel safety in the operating room.

Marvin Adelberg, Ph.D., Vice President of Product Development of MKMI Medical Innovations, Inc., has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University; formerly a consultant to the U.S.A.F., NASA, Rand Corporation, and many aerospace firms; and holds numerous patents in healthcare-related devices.

Kenneth N. Adelberg, General Manager of MKMI Medical Innovations, Inc., holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Southern California and has been with MKMI Medical Innovations, Inc., for seven years. His primary duties involve product development; marketing; sales; all elements of production, including tool and part design and construction.
